Widened bridge at 6th Street

Limits: Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to Holly Street

Project Details:

  • Add tow HOV managed lanes in both directions
  • Reconstruct east-west crossings to be widened bridges at: 15th, 12th, 11th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th, and Cesar Chavez Streets
  • Construct frontage road boulevard
  • Construct pedestrian/bicyclist-only bridges at: 15th, 4th and 3rd Streets

Anticipated construction start: late 2027

Estimated construction cost: $1.51 billion
